Rehearsals are currently underway in the Prior Lake High School auditorium for the fall musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella, Enchanted Edition.”
With a cast of 45 students performing on stage, there are nearly as many students who are busy behind the scenes. A total of 37 are working on set construction, stage management, costume creation, props, lights, sound and publicity. Additional students who will be part of the live pit orchestra will begin rehearsing in the coming month.
The stage is already bustling in the after-school hours with students involved in choreography, blocking and singing. The back stage crew is also hard at work in the scene shop with building scenery, creating costumes, perfecting props and learning technical aspects, according to Sheri Brunner, PLHS fall musical production manager.

She is also pleased that the dads who built a “Greased Lightning” car for the set of “Grease” performed two years ago are back again, this year constructing Cinderella’s infamous pumpkin carriage that transports her to the ball.
“Students will deliver a dazzling and magical performance,” Brunner said.
Performances are scheduled for Nov. 20-22 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Prior Lake High School Auditorium, 7575 150th St. W, Savage.
